FOR TODAY Monday, January 26, 2009...Outside my window...It is dreary and cold. The weathermen promise snow for the next few days. I wouldn't mind if they were wrong.
I am thinking...I'm glad I did my daily reading and exercised.
I am thankful for...Time with people I love this weekend.
From the learning rooms...The boys will do their online test this morning for their religion class tonight. Roo is reading The Andromeda Strain (among other things). Boo is reading Ralph S. Mouse. We've jumped back into more worksheets for a time. Even though I prefer a more laid back approach, there is a sense of accomplishment when we see completed work.
From the kitchen...I actually cooked and baked this weekend! There is leftover chili and pumpkin cake.
I am wearing...the clothes I worked out in. I need to change!!
I am creating...I need to repair the necklace I made my sister (Sorry, Sue! I'm slow.) And I need to work on the one I promised her for Christmas.
I am going...to be "driving to dance" and religion class.
I am reading...books for the Winter Reading Challenge and the Chunkster Challenge 2009.
I am hoping...the roads will not be difficult tonight.
I am hearing...very little. Peaceful, peaceful oasis for a moment.
Around the house...the Christmas lights and decorations are still up for one last week.
One of my favorite things...holding my children even though they are exceeding my lap limit these days.
A few plans for the rest of the week:Another doctor's visit. More driving. Book reviews.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...A warmer memory...

Visit Peggy at The Simple Woman's Daybook and see who else is keeping a "daybook."

I enjoyed your daybook. I am counting the days until we have warmer weather. Have a great week.
Mmmmm...I sensed a peace as you wrote that. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I LOVE pumpkin bars, cake, bread, anything pumpkin. I might be inspired today since you planted the seed, so to speak.
Have a great week!
I loved reading your daybook. I've seen others, but have not ever tried to do one. I'll have to check out the others.

Sounds like a sweet day and sweet week! I pray the Lord will bless you with traveling mercies! May you come home safely this evening!
And once again my bloggy friends are pointing to excerise! I am properly convicted again! Going now!
hi Julie ~
I just happened to try out the Simple Woman's Daybook for the first time today, too! I enjoyed reading yours. :)
Hope you have a great week!

Julie,
I'm delighted that you visited my daybook and am happy to be able to visit yours! May you continue to post many more glimpses into your busy life...
I'm glad you joined in. Great Daybook - hope the rest of today was nice.
I see the Simple Woman's Daybook around every now and then, but it's something I've never done. Right now I have enough "blog fodder", so maybe after my 100 days are over it's something I can use for inspiration. Loved reading yours!
I think part of the pleasure of a daybook is helping us hold on to the preciousness of a "normal" day. Blessings!
Thanks for visiting my daybook. Loved yours! And yum... Pumpkin Cake! Enjoy the rest of the week and yes, I'm hoping it gets warmer, too!
Love your daybook!
I loved the necklace that you made.
I enjoyed your daybook. The roads where I live are a challenge right now, too. I hope you have safety as you drive.
This is definitely the time of year for chili. Enjoy!
God bless you!
