This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every moring: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion saith my soul: therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3: 21-26

Praying

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood,
but against the principalities,
against the powers,
against the world-rulers of this darkness,
against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We are told to pray for all those in authority. I do pray that the dear Lord will guide them and protect them too. We must trust that our prayers will be answered.

That picture speaks volumes. Yes, God forbid that we should sin by being prayer-less at this moment.

What a powerful image. I awoke today, and still can't quite believe that George W. isn't in the White House. One thing I've been doing is praying everyday for Obama, and like the comment above, we must not sin by ceasing to pray now. God sets up kings and rulers, and we must pray for them and a "Pauline conversion" is needed at this time. If FOCA is signed and passed I do believe a great persecution will be upon the Church in America, like we have never before witnessed. Be not afraid, but DO HEED Our Lady's warnings. Pray the rosary and hold on to Mary's hand, for judgment does begin in the House of God, and if 54% of Catholics voted for Obama, (as I've heard) we have much to answer for, even now.

You've a beautiful blog, by the way~ PAX

Hello, I am so glad your left a comment on my blog. This way i found your blog and I love it. I am Catholic as well and it is always a great pleasure to meet fellow Christians.
I love the picture as well. It does speak volumes.
And I agree with 2013, we cannot get there fast enough.

Julie, first let me THANK YOU for this post! The pictures say it all. I was reading some of 43's words in honor of designating this past Sunday as the day we honor life. His words were so powerful and poignant, and such a stark, stark contrast to the intent of the (then) upcoming administration.

I pray, oh I pray, that God would reach in and touch and change hearts in a powerful way.

You are all so right that we will answer for our prayers. It's a sacred responsibility.

My heart struggles to do this...bc of 44 (new prez) and his cabinets's actions....but, we press on! God is bigger and better than any ole self serving man or woman in DC!

God bless!
Maria
