This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every moring: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion saith my soul: therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3: 21-26

If this is global warming I would hate to see global cooling. The temperatures will range here between 3-12. And many of you are colder than that!!!

I'm glad to report that the toilet is fine. Roo only added a few gray hairs.

I've been doing some linking at my Reviews and Recipes blog. Check out Pastor Al's post on prayer in an instant society. There are some other good "clicks" to be found there too.

Off to find more blankets!!

Stay warm!

What Would Be Your First Reaction...

...if your oldest son asked you, "Do stuffed toys clog the toilet?"

Curious minds want to know...

1/15/09 Update:

My reaction was to first, choke.

Second, mentally scramble to see how his father (sitting next to me) was reacting, and then think, "Surely an eleven year old would NOT put a stuffed toy down the toilet."

But then remember that at one time when he was much younger (3-ish) he had asked me what would happen if he swallowed a LEGO and then actually did it.

This took all of about 3 seconds to process.

So I finally asked, "Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy would you want to know?"

So did he do it?

Thankfully, no he didn't. But he was "wondering."

Heavy sigh...

Parenting is a succession of events and comments you never, never thought would happen to you.

Gotta love it!!

Lemonade Linking

Sweet Lisa at House of Many Blessings gave me the Lemonade Award. Thanks, Lisa!! You should go check out Lisa's blog--a very encouraging place. I'm a little slow in passing it on...I'm a little slow right now on a lot of things. But better late than never!

The purpose of this award is to give it to someone who is showing gratitude or a good attitude ("if life hands you lemons, make lemonade") within their life or blog.

The rules are these:
1) put the logo on your blog
2) nominate blogs that show great attitude and/or gratitude.
3) have your friends pass it along to more bloggers!

I'd like to pass this on to:

1) The blogger who describes herself as: I'm mostly known as 'MA'. She has two blogs I've become fond of: On the Bright Side and What's New at My House.
You'll smile if you visit her!

2) Shalee of Shalee's Diner. The woman has positive exploding from that teeney tiny frame. I know. I've met her. For real.

3) Liza at Liza's Eyeview. And not just because I want to meet her (at her warm house--not my cold house). Liza is very transparent and encouraging.

4) Linds at Rocking Chair Reflections, even though she already got it, because she should get it more than once!!

5) Michelle at My Little Monkeys, even though her computer is broke, and maybe because her computer is broke (again). Michelle knows where the focus should be.

6) To you, you and YOU...everyone who visits here! Let's have a glass of lemonade and chat!!

Today I Choose...

Lord, I cannot do
everything today.
Please help me choose to do
the things which will give glory to
Your Most Holy and Precious Name.
