This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every moring: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion saith my soul: therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3: 21-26

Wonderful looking dog. I bet he respects your words more than my teenagers. LOL. Dogs are trainable, teenagers are not.

That's a beautiful dog! I have one, too, and it's a half breed Keeshond. I can never get her to pick up anything though, not even a stick or a ball. Happy WW.

Well-groomed dog, and obviously happy.
Here in Belgium we call this breed "Tervuurse Herder" (Shepherd of Tervuren). It is closely related to the "Groenendaalse Herder" (Shepherd of Groenendaal, a town not far from Tervuren, both towns are not far from the capital Brussels) which sports an entirely black pelt. The breeds are so closely related it is not uncommon to find a brown "Tervurenaar" in a litter of otherwhise black "Groenendalers" and vice versa.
Tervuren could mean "at the fires", Groenendaal does mean "Green Valley".
So now you know something more, from a native who does like these intelligent, agile and beautiful shepherd dogs. They are sometimes used as police dogs here too.

Cheers,
Babeth from the House of Chaos, Belgium
