This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every moring: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion saith my soul: therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3: 21-26

Menu Plan Monday

My menu includes feeding company this week!! Grandpa came to visit his boys and we will be joined for an evening by a couple of much loved cousins. We still have all our activities, but Grandpa is as good as Daddy for helping in the kitchen, so we will eat well.

—chili and cornbread
Tuesday—beef roast, carrots, potatoes and gravy. The crockpot is my friend and there was a nice sale on roast. This is the night we will have three extra people at the table. Comfort food is good for company food.
Wednesday—tacos (the meat is already made and in the freezer!)
Thursday—baked chicken, broccoli and rice
Friday—stir fry that we didn’t have last week because we went out for dinner. That was a nice surprise.

Thanks for the welcome! Looks like you have some good variety, too. I'm so ready for some good chili... it's just too hot here for me to eat it yet... very soon though! :)

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

It looks like it's a little cooler where you are--I'm SO looking forward to chili and roast kinds of nights! Soon?

What great news! You have company coming over!!
The dh and I have already scheduled our first crockpot full of chili in late October. Hopefully, it will be cool here.
Roast and potatoes sound really good. I like that too! Aren't crockpots the greatest?!?

Thanks for the welcome!

Gotta love it when dinner comes out of the freezer halfway ready! Do you batch cook the taco meat?
